Image-Guided Biopsies
Accurate diagnosis through precision imaging and tissue sampling.

What is an image-guided biopsy?
Image-guided biopsies allow tissue samples to be taken safely and accurately from both superficial and deep organs using CT or ultrasound guidance. The procedure provides the information needed to establish a diagnosis and, when appropriate, perform molecular and genetic analysis to guide individualized treatment.
An image-guided biopsy is a minimally invasive procedure in which a thin biopsy needle is precisely guided into a suspicious lesion using real-time CT or ultrasound imaging.
Compared with surgical biopsy, image-guided biopsies usually require only a small skin puncture and can often be performed as a day procedure.
